Vertigo

I’m starting to get dizzy. This is not a fun market, right now. Still, only two of my funds have hit their buy points (EXTAX and ODVYX). They will both be sold tomorrow. In addition, I dumped my only two stocks this morning (AZO and ALXN). Neither had plunged but both were looking rocky and this is no longer a market that I want to hold stocks in. I didn’t update the portfolio yesterday, as I was traveling, but I’m now down again for the year. Bear markets are not as much fun as bull markets. Oh, well…

More Bad

DODFX was sold at the close today, and the market plunged again. How often can we keep on doing this? Up, down, up and then down again. Well, sooner or later, the market will fix on a direction and we will be responding appropriately when it does. No changes for tomorrow.

Bad

A bad day. Most of our funds are still above water but one, DODFX, hit its sell point today and will be sold at tomorrow’s close. This is an international fund and so is more closely attuned to what is going on in Europe. Still, it seems to me that if the European situation doesn’t stabilize, then our market will get whacked pretty good, as well. So, we’ll see…

Treading Water

The market has been up, down, up, down for the past couple of weeks–basically just treading water. Nothing to do now but wait to see which way we’ll break. One of my funds, DODFX (my only international fund) has been sinking, and is nearly at its sell point. This is not surprising, considering what’s happening in Europe. The next few days should tell.
